The games that our company produces and sells belong to the adventure romance and visual novel genres. Unlike action or shooting games, in which players enjoy progressing based on their technique, our games are enjoyed in a manner similar to a movie, anime, or comic book, as players see the story unfold before them with the push of a button. Because of this, any public exhibiting of the content in our games results in a great loss to our business.
Furthermore, our products are based on PC game software. Under the agreements made with the original rights holders, we have been granted the rights to produce ported versions of the software for specified video game consoles, as well as the rights to sell those ported versions.
At the same time, in order to promote the ported products, we have been granted the rights to utilize material such as the opening cinematic footage and still images for the purposes of publicity and advertising (via activities such as, but not limited to, requesting their publication in specialized magazines and on news websites, and uploading said media to video sharing websites). However, we do not have permission to sublicense these rights to any third parties.
For these reasons, we and the original rights holder have been requesting the removal of any in-game footage of our products uploaded to video sharing websites. However, we have recently observed a rapid increase in content from our products being posted online. Therefore, we ask again that you refrain from distributing or uploading any in-game footage of our products.
